My Name Is George were highflyers from the start: as early as 2004, for their very first EP, the band received critical acclaim at the M4Music Demotape Clinic and - practically out of the blue - managed to play an extensive tour throughout the entire country. Since then the band has released three albums and performed over 300 concerts on stages small and large in Switzerland, England, Germany and Austria. After winning the DRS3 Swisstop Award 2006, My Name Is George have become an integral part of the Swiss music scene, receiving uninterrupted daily airplay since 2008. In 2010, My Name Is George came second in the ranking of most-played Swiss songs.
